DMC Brno Královopolská
In collaboration with our parent company, Demaco, we provide comprehensive design preparation and technical coordination under a Design & Build model for a new manufacturing and R&D campus for Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global leader in electron microscopy and spectrometry.
With a total area of nearly 60,000 sqm, the new campus is one of the most technologically demanding projects of its kind in the Czech Republic. Our scope of work includes project documentation for permitting and tender documentation, demolition of existing buildings, site surveys and brownfield contamination management, upgrades to the site infrastructure, and the design of the new manufacturing and R&D centre.
A key element of the project is the provision of cleanrooms and highly specialised technological spaces that require precise control of temperature and humidity, as well as the elimination of vibration and electromagnetic interference. This places particular emphasis on detailed coordination of all design disciplines, technologies and operational requirements from the earliest design stages.
The project also incorporates high standards of energy efficiency and partial energy self-sufficiency through a photovoltaic power plant combined with battery storage. The building achieves Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating A.
